Our Journey

Creating an agency where the client truly is at the forefront of everything we did, was what drove us. In a world where we are transforming how we live, work, shop and buy property, surely it is time for the estate agency rule book to be rewritten? We started our journey by developing an easy to understand approach, where we attract, engage, and delight our clients by providing them with experiences that are relevant, helpful, and bespoke to them. We had a vision:

to create an estate agency that specialises in beautiful and unique homes, providing the highest quality service;
to provide a seamless customer experience across every stage of the selling process, making customers feel looked after at every touch-point. Today, we remain a small independently owned award winning business with the same strong values of quality and customer care as when we started.

Sometimes, buyers need a little help seeing what a home could become.

The rooms were already there.

What changed was how they felt.

With thoughtful presentation, small details and a clearer sense of how each space could be lived in, the home began telling a very different story.

And now, it has sold.

For us, preparing a home for the market is never simply about making it look good. It is about helping the right buyer walk in and understand why it could be right for them.

Our sellers put their trust in us, and we are grateful they did.

Thinking about selling? What would you want your agent to do differently when presenting your home?

“A different approach appealed to us.”

Sometimes the difference is not one big thing.

It is the communication.

The persistence.

The feeling that the people handling your sale genuinely care about getting it right.

That was Tony and Kathleen’s experience with Bees Homes.

Their verdict?

“We highly recommend Bees with no caveats or hesitation.”

And when it came to reaching the finish line, they credited Ana’s “commitment and ‘can do’ approach” with getting the sale over the line.

Thinking about selling your home?

What would a different approach look like for you?

Best Farm Shops & Foodie Pubs in East Sussex

One of the joys of living in East Sussex is knowing where to find the really good local places.

They’re the farm shops you pop into on a Saturday morning and the country pubs where lunch becomes into most of the afternoon.

Middle Farm near Firle is a firm favourite for Sussex produce, as well as its well-known C***r Barn.

In Hurst Green, Eggs to Apples brings together a farm shop, deli and café, while Offham Farm Shop near Lewes is a great place to pick up locally reared meat and produce.

Then there’s Oast Farm in Buxted, a family-run fruit farm with its own farm shop and cafĂ©.

And when it’s time for lunch?

The Hurstwood in High Hurstwood is well worth knowing for seasonal cooking and ingredients sourced locally.

The Gun at Gun Hill combines plenty of character with good seasonal food and a lovely pub garden.

The Eight Bells in Jevington is another favourite for good food in a South Downs village setting.

And The Griffin Inn in Fletching is made for a long summer lunch in the garden, with views across the Sussex countryside.

Near Battle, White Hart Netherfield keeps things especially local, with beef, lamb and pork coming from the owners’ own farm.

A farm shop in the morning.
A country pub for lunch.

That sounds like a rather good East Sussex day to us.

Which local farm shop or pub would you add to the list?

If your next move depends on getting into the right school, the clock may already be ticking.

For families planning a move across East Sussex, finding the right home is only part of the equation.

School admissions deadlines can have just as much influence on when you need to move.

For secondary school entry in September 2027, applications close on 31 October 2026.

For Reception places, the deadline is 15 January 2027.

And when a house sale can take several months, leaving the property search until after Christmas could make things considerably tighter.

Our latest blog looks at the school run countdown, catchment area pressure, the key dates families need to know and how to plan a move around the admissions calendar.

If schooling is part of your reason for moving, this is worth reading before you start making decisions.

Read the full guide via the link in the first comment.

Is a particular school or catchment area influencing where you would move next?
