Alnmouth, Alnwick, Amble, Bamburgh, Berwick, Cragside, Craster, Dunstanburgh, Morpeth, Newcastle, Rothbury, Seahouses, Warkworth and Wooler are all within easy reach of our holiday cottages. Village Farm in the heart of the old village and Town Foot Farm on the northern edge of the village offer a superb choice of self-catering holiday cottage accommodation, ranging from modern Scandinavian-style chalets to traditional stone-built cottages and a 17th century farmhouse. Our superb self-catering holiday cottages are supplemented by our extensive leisure facilities, including a spa with swimming pool, spa bath, sauna and steam room; fitness club; beauty salon; horse riding and tennis.

This weekend we were very happy to welcome Paul Alland back to Village Farm. Paul was visiting the area and filming for his YouTube channels, Unusual Things and Paul’s Adventures & Reviews.

If you missed Paul’s previous visit to Village Farm, he spent a few days exploring the area, including Alnwick Castle and its Harry Potter connections, Dunstanburgh Castle and some of the local walks, as well as sharing his stay at Farriers View. You can find his video here:

HIDDEN GEMS | Brizlee Tower, Alnwick

A little bit of Middle-earth in Northumberland?

Brizlee Tower in Hulne Park looks like something from a Lord of the Rings film.

From the top of the tower you can see several castles. Unfortunately, it isn't usually open to visitors, but it's well worth the walk to see it and take in the great views from the track.

Definitely one for the photographers! 📷
