Brunton House and Cottages

At the very end of 2023 we opened The Blacksmiths. There is now space for groups to gather to celebrate together, cook in the commercial kitchen or spoil themselves with a professional chef.

A long time before 2023 groups could gather to watch a farrier at work with the old C19th bellows and forge, or feed the horses in the stables or check on the bull in the bullpen. Over the last 40 years these spaces had fallen into some disrepair. They needed some life being breathed back into them.

All three places were transformed to make The Blacksmiths, and now it is full of life and laughter.

A fascinating event is being held here this time next year.

The Fallodon Festival will take place on 11/12 September 2027 to raise funds for and awareness of The National Garden Scheme. Millions have been raised for nursing and health charities and the NGS is celebrating its centenary year in 2027.

Fallodon Hall was opened by Sir Edward Grey in 1927, and in the light of his political and naturalist interests, with a hint of history and in recognition of the nursing charity he was originally supporting we have gathered a superb collection of speakers.

A quick change around in the sitting room at Brunton House to pull together the new wallpaper, with our existing furniture and accessories.

It is a day that feels spring-like with warmth and sun, so we were in a spring-cleaning mood.

Pooky lampshades and Sofa.com - Handmade to order furniture furniture have stood the test of time while we have built up Brunton House and cottages. We opened Brunton House in April 2013 and always aim to keep up the highest standards and finest hoovering.

September days are so beautiful still at Brunton, with colour aplenty.

Brunton can inspire anyone, but when a guest is a renowned artist, with paintings being exhibited Mall Galleries, then it is becomes a series of oil paintings waiting to be captured en plain.

Tim O'Brien quietly worked with the Brunton burn for company and then the stir of the sea as he moved his easel up the coast.

It’s a joy to share his paintings and realise how beautiful this place is in paint or in plain sight.
