Preserving the ways of times past with footprints of Generations

Harvey Homes is named after the Ratcliffe family’s eldest son, Thomas Harvey Ratcliffe, while the commercial arm of the business, Jarvis Commercial, is named after their youngest, Charles Jarvis Ratcliffe. Tom and Charlie have both been deeply involved in the conception of the two property arms of the Group and have the passion and aptitude to ensure that their generation will make them a success.

Business runs in the family’s blood, with Tom and Charlie’s Great Great Grandfather William Harvey borrowed £400 from Barclay’s bank and commissioned a wooden hull fishing trawler in 1907. The proceeds of this led to William buying each of his 11 children a mortgage-free home.
