Ever wondered what makes a holiday cottage feel like home? 🫖

I’m enjoying my last few hours at Trehaven Cottage in Looe, Cornwall, curled up in the lounge with a steaming cup of tea and taking in this gorgeous, peaceful space one last time.

There’s something so lovely about slowing down, settling into a cosy room and feeling completely at ease… especially when you’re staying somewhere with so much character.

It’s made me think about our own guests at The Baker’s Dozen. I hope that when you sink into the cosy lounges at The Old Bakery or The Baker’s Snug in Angmering, or at The Baker’s Cottage in Arundel, you feel that same little sense of comfort: that welcoming feeling of being able to put your feet up, breathe out and truly relax.

Ever wondered what it would be like to stay inside the cliff itself?

I recently stayed at Trehaven Cottage in Looe, Cornwall. A gorgeous Airbnb cottage with the most unforgettable lounge wall. The raw rock of the cliff runs right through the room, alongside whitewashed walls, low beams and a lovely wood-burner.

As a host, I couldn’t help admiring all that character. It felt wonderfully simple, cosy and full of stories… the sort of place that makes you slow down, settle in and wish you had a few more days.

Looe was beautiful too, but I think I could have happily spent the whole stay curled up in that lounge. 🪨🔥
