Poachers Cottage is an old fisherman's cottage off Irsha Street, the iconic cobbled street of colourful cottages to the west of Appledore. A stone's throw from the estuary, the Royal George, The Beaver and a few minutes walk from the RNLI Lifeboat and "Badstep", where stunning sunsets can often be seen over Northam Burrows.
