A patio in Standish lower ground fully restored this week. We pressure washed the area to remove muck and grime and loose dirt from the failed joints. There was no chemical clean due to the surrounding plants and vegetation plus the householders keep it in good shape anyway. We then grinded (ground? Not sure when it comes to patio joints!!!) all the remaining joints to remove loose jointing compound and mortar before cleaning the patio again to remove all the dust and debris.

Once clean, we filled all the joints with two part epoxy resin. This sets rock hard and parts for years.

Just a few jobs completed over the last couple of weeks. Pressure washed, chemically treated and then either sanded or sealed. The full Monty. Often with w**d killer applied beforehand. We are licenced to apply w**d killer commercially - PA1 and PA6 qualified. We are fully trained and recommended contractors for both Smartseal and PICS (Pattern Imprinted Concrete Suppliers. We don’t do gardening, painting, furniture removals or house clearances. We are an External Cleaning Company with over a decade of experience and qualifications/training programmes behind us.

A drive in Heywood that we “restored” today. I say “restored” because it’s only ten months old. The contractor that laid it never sealed it and then blocked all contact from the customer.

The customer then sought out professional help online in getting the drive up to standard. They contacted numerous companies and finally opted for ourselves, backed by long time suppliers Smartseal. We are trained and recommended Smartseal contractors.

The drive was cleaned earlier this week and left a couple of days to dry out.

Once dry, we repaired the chips with a darker sealer before applying two base coats of a tinted, matt sealer. This was left to thoroughly dry before finishing with a non slip, silk sealer to add the final touches.

Also, the timber decking boards have been treated by the customer with an old fashioned Japanese method of wood preservation. It is burnt and then brushed leaving a charcoal finish which never needs treating again. If anyone is interested in this, again please drop me a message and I’ll pass your details on.

If the hosepipe ban is brought in up here in the northwest, it does NOT affect businesses that use water to pay the bills. As an external cleaning company, PB Power Washing has an exemption meaning we can still clean drives, patios, gutters, fascias, conservatories etc.

Four jobs, one day. That’s why we don’t tend to post much over spring/summer because the days can be long and hectic. Still, we’re out and about doing everything from cleaning patios and driveways to roofs and car parks.

If you’d like a quote for external cleaning, please get in touch. As the weather ain’t too good this year, we aren’t taking on any more sealing bookings until the sun comes out consistently. We already have a dozen or so waiting to be done - it wouldn’t be fair to take on any more until those are complete.
