💛 Every child needs love. That is why when parents can't look after a child, it's usually best if they can be brought up by a grandparent, aunt, uncle, other relative or a family friend. Someone they know, who can provide the love and stability children need, rather than grow up in the .

❗162,000 children in across England and Wales know the value of love. But society and politicians overlook and undervalue you.

⚠️ Unlike children in , most of these families receive no financial or practical support.

📢 By December, the Department for Education is due to respond to recommendations for major changes to put forward by the ‘Independent Review of Children’s Social Care’. We need to make our voices heard now ahead of this crucial response!

💪 We’re calling on the Department for Education to value ’ love by committing to a first ever strategy which includes these four urgent changes, so that are entitled to the same support as and families.

🔵 Equalise allowances between foster and kinship families.
🟢 Equalise access to training and support between kinship carers and foster carers.
🟡 Equalise leave between adoptive and kinship families.
🟣 Equalise support between children in kinship care and those in care.

Our Halloween event is on the 28th October.
We have Stacey Berry from Prime Commercial Utilities, helping businesses keep the lights on through the dark and cold months, including HMO's, talking to us at the event.
