✨ As the school gates close for the holidays and Christmas is officially here, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to some amazing supporters of our village hall ✨

This year, our village hall has been incredibly fortunate to receive a Β£37,500 grant from FCC Communities Foundation, helping to fund much-needed improvements and refurbishments. Thanks to their generous support, the hall is looking better than ever - and we’re nearly finished! All works will be completed by the end of March.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to Spy Hill Farm for donating this fabulous Christmas tree, which has brought some real festive magic to the hall πŸŽ„(they are based in the Village so check them out πŸ‘‰ https://www.spyhillfarm.com)

And finally… a HUGE thank you to all our fabulous regular users and the many new groups and individuals we’ve welcomed this year. From community groups and classes to private celebrations and events, your continued support and use of the hall is what makes everything we do possible.

Wishing everyone in our village and beyond a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2026 ✨

**IMPORTANT UPDATE:**
See latest post for change of date to Wed 10th December

A quick reminder that on Friday 5th December from 4:30, we will be turning on the lights on the Ashton Hayes Christmas Tree!

Bring your children along to mingle with Santa, free mini lights trail with fun questions and letters to collect and unscramble to claim your treat.
Then maybe warm up with some Xmas-elf punch and a tasty chocolate mini roll.
Plus, Sausage buns, tray bakes, mince pies, enjoy a mulled wine or a drink from the bar while keeping warm by the brazier, hot drinks, twinkly lights and festive music.

Wrap up warm, get on those Christmas hats and come along to support this annual free entry playing field fundraising social event.

Reminder - Dog friendly visitor guidelines apply during this community event, so your furry friends are welcome onto the event area section of the field.

Antlers, jumpers, coats and light up collars not required, but definitely encouraged!

The car park will be restricted to blue badge holders or for drop-off of the less mobile.
