The years can take a toll on how our gardens look, just like us!😂 (don’t I know it! 🤪). This old fence and sunken deck were looking a bit tired and wrinkly, so have been given a nip, tuck and bit of a facelift, ensuring they look good for many years to come. 👍😎

A few of the jobs done lately - grass sown, concrete paths laid, driveway refreshed, hedges cut, fences erected, and hedging planted. They say variety is the spice of life! 🤪

I don’t cut much grass but when asked to do a “one off”, I thought how bad can it be! 🫣 Didn’t expect it to be 3ft tall! 🤪Had to get the big flail machine in., some weapon 💪 Pity it doesn’t lift it though 😩 😮‍💨

One of the most challenging but satisfying projects to date - fitting a rustic looking polycarbonate roof over a sunken patio in an award winning Fernery garden, as shown recently in BBC’s ‘Greatest Gardens’. The brief was to provide weather protection over the patio, but without looking new, nor restricting the view of the wonderful trees and plants. One of those ‘make it up as we go along’ projects! 🤪 A real pleasure to work with this customer, who’s love for, and dedication to, his garden is simply inspirational. 🌴

What’s good for a wet day? 🌧️ Powerwashing! 🫣 Might as well get even wetter 🤪 💦 Full clean, gutters, soffits, walls and paving. Came up lovely 👌. The pneumonia was worth it! 😆

Have repaired countless fences over last couple of years, thanks Storm Eowyn! 🤪. The main reason for fences falling over is poor construction, sometimes it’s just age and rotten posts, but a lot is due to holes not being deep enough and posts not fitted properly. There is no short cut, the holes should be 2 foot deep, have saw some not even 1 foot deep!It’s not easy, digging holes is tough, that’s why some just stop when they get down so far and say “that’ll do rightly”! Depth more important than width. Digging good holes takes time and proper equipment. That may cost more, but if u get a cheap quote for your fence, it may cost you more to get it repaired/ replaced in a few years time! Like most construction, a lot of the important work is hidden. # noshortcuts 👆💪
