We have handed over the redevelopment of the sports pitches and historic buildings at Stranmillis University College, Belfast.

The project included the construction of a new FIFA Quality compliant full-size floodlit 3G pitch, a new floodlit MUGA facility, upgraded parking and landscaping.

A major element of the scheme involved the sensitive refurbishment of historic buildings within the Stranmillis campus setting to provide modern changing facilities, shower rooms, referee accommodation and accessible changing places facilities.

A fantastic project to have been involved in, delivered collaboratively with the wider design team and stakeholders.

We are proud to celebrate the diversity and cultures that make up our team. 🌍

Recently, we hosted a Cultural Lunch where staff prepared and shared dishes from around the world, giving everyone the opportunity to experience different traditions, flavours and stories. Colleagues also took part in a fun cultural quiz, testing their knowledge with interesting facts and insights from across the globe.

It was a fantastic afternoon that highlighted the importance of inclusion, teamwork and celebrating the different backgrounds that strengthen our workplace culture.

We hosted our annual Nursery and Primary School visit's this week, the highlight of our working year!

We welcomed P1/P2 class from Knockloughrim Primary School and the Nursery class from St. Mary's Primary School, Portglenone to learn all things construction, steel and manufacturing!

We hope the kids had as much fun as we did!

We recently handed over Sandy Row Arts & Digital Hub, providing an extension to Belfast South Community Resources (BCSR) in conjunction with Belfast City Council.

The three-storey extension expanded BCSR's capacity to deliver new and innovative programmes, whilst supporting community led projects and activities.

The scheme includes a dedicated arts studio, digital hub and Artist-in-Residence apartment, creating vibrant, flexible spaces that will support creativity, learning and long-term community engagement.

We had a great morning at our Easter Quiz 🐣

A big well done to everyone who took part — especially our eagle-eyed winners who guessed 120 and 122 eggs in the jar… impressively close!

And of course, a special thank you to our Quiz Master for keeping us all on our toes!

Our offices will close at 3:15pm on Friday 3rd April and will reopen on Wednesday 8th April at 7:30am.

We had a fantastic morning H&A Group headquarters at our event in conjunction with McGurk Architects, Construction Futures, Construction Employers Federation (CEF).

The Open Doors initiative provides a valuable platform to connect young people with real opportunities in construction, giving them first-hand insight into the industry and the wide range of career paths available.

A sincere thank you to our visitors from St Patrick's College, Maghera and St. Colm's High School, Draperstown — it was great to engage with the next generation and showcase what a career in construction can offer.

We recently returned to Lisneal College to visit Mrs Mullan and her team and see how they’re settling into their extended ground floor facilities, which include three additional classrooms and a new dance/lecture theatre.

It was fantastic to see firsthand how beneficial the extra space and enhanced resources have been for both staff and pupils.

Thank you to Mrs Mullan and the entire team for the warm welcome and for allowing us to see the impact the new facilities are making.

Last night, the OB team attended the Mid Ulster District Council Business and Environment Awards, an event recognising the innovation, resilience, and achievements of businesses across our region.

This week, members of our team across OBConstruction, Eden Fabrications and Signtime were out at the Northern Regional College Open Nights, attending across several campuses.

It was a great opportunity to speak with students, parents, and career-changers about the wide range of roles within construction, engineering, and the wider built environment — from apprenticeships and technical routes to professional careers.

We’re proud to support local education providers and to play a small part in helping people understand the pathways into our industry.
