It's always great to see different parts of the community coming together to make Banchory look its best. ๐ŸŒธ

Leys Estate is always pleased to see businesses and organisations working together, and it's especially nice to see the facilities at The Seed Box Ltd being used to support projects that benefit the wider community. The plants were grown by the users of The Seed Box and we may be bias but we think they look great.

A brilliant team effort and one that will brighten up Banchory throughout the summer. ๐ŸŒผ

We're proud to support the growth of girls' rugby at Deeside Rugby and what a season it's been! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ†

Congratulations to the U16 girls on winning both their league and the National Quaich. A huge achievement and thoroughly deserved.

We look forward to seeing girls' rugby continue to go from strength to strength in the years ahead.๐Ÿ‘

This season has been a HUGE one for our U16 girls who not only won their league, but also went on to win the national Quaich๐Ÿ†

The girls play in a mixed team alongside girls from Wanderers, Garioch, Ellon and Fraserburgh. Theyโ€™ve put in an incredible amount of work this season to produce such good results.

Congratulations go to all of the coaches, players, parents and volunteers who make this happen week in week out.

Girls Rugby at Deeside is rapidly growing and is an incredible thing to be a part of. From primary ages all the way through to U18, we have girls putting in the work. Some of which have only been playing for a very short amount of time. If you fancy getting involved, please get in touch, no requirement for any previous experience ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ—

Another important visitor at the Business Centre this week... Pip the puppy! ๐Ÿถ

Before making the rounds and saying hello, Pip helped remind everyone of the importance of signing in when arriving for work or attending meetings and appointments. Our sign-in procedures help us know who is on site at all times and are particularly important in the event of an emergency.

We're pleased to report that Pip signed in correctly, although we're still waiting to see if she remembered to sign out! ๐Ÿพ

It is fantastic to see Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire preparing for the Global Agritourism Conference at P&J Live this month.

As a local Estate, we know first hand how important it is for farms and rural businesses to diversify. Agritourism helps support local jobs and ensures farming businesses can remain sustainable for future generations.

Agritourism is about much more than welcoming visitors onto farms. It helps connect people with the land, the food they eat and the families who work tirelessly to produce it. By giving visitors the opportunity to see where their food comes from, meet local producers and experience rural life, it builds a greater understanding and appreciation of Scottish agriculture. ๐Ÿšœ๐ŸŒพ

The inaugural Global Agritourism Conference will be held in Scotland in 2026 and will be a showcase of the diversity and growth of the global agritourism sector with data, research, policy and personal stories providing a unique international learning opportunity for an anticipated 1000 delegates.

Last weekend's victory by the Hawkstone Farmers Choir on Britain's Got Talent has reminded the everyone of the importance of British agriculture.

Their song highlighted the pride, resilience and dedication of the people who work tirelessly to produce our food while caring for the countryside. It brought attention to the mental health challenges faced by many within the rural community, encouraging those who may be struggling to speak up and seek support.

Farming can often be an isolating profession, with long hours, financial pressures and uncertainty. By sharing this message on a national stage, the choir has helped shine a light on an issue that affects far too many farming families.

Farming is the backbone of our rural communities and plays a vital role in our economy, food security and way of life. A well deserved win and an important message for the nation. ๐Ÿšœ๐ŸŒพ

Good luck to everyone taking part in the Kiltwalk this weekend! ๐Ÿ‘

Whether you're taking on the Mighty Stride or the Wee Wander, you're doing something incredible by raising money for charity.

For those tackling the Mighty Stride, your first pit stop will be the Milton Of Crathes , where the fantastic team from Marie Curie will be helping to keep spirits high as you continue your journey (only 15 more miles!).

The weather is looking much kinder than it has been, so fingers crossed that forecast stays put! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿคž

We had some very special four-legged visitors in the Leys Estate office this week! ๐Ÿถ

A litter of adorable puppies stopped by and quickly made themselves right at home providing a welcome distraction from the working day.

Thankfully, a headcount was carried out both before and after their visit to make sure none had mysteriously found their way into anyone's handbag or coat pocket! We can confirm all puppies were accounted for... although there were a few disappointed staff members! ๐Ÿพ
