👋 Team Spotlight – Meet Andy

We’re pleased to introduce Andrew, who brings over 25 years of experience in the construction industry to the Honeywell team. Andy covers Malton and North Yorkshire.

Before joining us, Andrew spent many years running his own successful building company, delivering a wide range of projects including new homes, full refurbishments, and specialist heritage works to listed buildings.

In 2026, Andrew qualified as a surveyor, combining his extensive hands-on construction experience with professional surveying expertise. This gives him a strong practical understanding of buildings and allows him to offer clear, straightforward advice to our clients.

When he’s not working, Andrew enjoys motorsport and spending quality time with his family.

We’re really pleased to have Andrew on board and look forward to sharing more of his work soon.

Pleased to share some progress images of a recent extension we designed in Harrogate. The project is coming along really well and the end is now in sight for our client – we’re really pleased with how this is looking 👏

The design focused on creating a larger open-plan living space by removing the existing external walls and extending outward. We also carefully considered natural light, incorporating a Velux roof window while maintaining the character of the property with a parapet and copings to the new façade.

As part of the project we also provided Party Wall services and prepared the drawings for the planning submission to the local authority.

It’s always great to see projects move from drawings into reality. We have a few more exciting projects currently on site that we’re looking forward to sharing soon.

Great to welcome Cecilia and Andy today for their joint induction. It has been an exciting and jam packed day!

Cecilia has been working with us for a good while, has been a huge asset to the team, and knows the business well, so it’s great to now have her on board on a permanent basis as she nears completion of her Sava certificate.

Andy has just completed his Sava certificate, got his letters, and brings with him a wealth of experience from the building trade, which will be a real asset to the team. Congrats Andy, and welcome to the team.

We spent the day getting to grips with the software and equipment we use day to day, and it was a really enjoyable start. The rest of the week looks just as good with some drone training, CPD, and shadowing lined up.

2026 is starting out promising…!

We had a brilliant Christmas team day bringing everyone together — something that’s extra important when most of our team spend their days working independently out on site.

The day included:
✔️ A cracking buffet
✔️ CPD on roofing
✔️ A business update
✔️ Secret Santa & a Christmas quiz
✔️ A fantastic meal at Estabulo in Barnsley
✔️ And some competitive (and questionable!) darts 🎯

It was great to wind down, have a laugh, and enjoy some proper team time after a busy year.

Huge thanks to the whole team for their hard work throughout the year — here’s to a well-earned break and an exciting year ahead! 🎅🍽️

I’m heading down to the RICS Matrics Surveyor Awards this Friday, where I’ve been shortlisted for Residential Surveyor of the Year 🏡

It’s a real privilege to be recognised alongside so many talented people in the industry. My wife, Eve, is joining me for the evening, and we’re stopping over nearby.

Best of luck to all the finalists. I’m looking forward to a good evening and hopefully catching up with a few familiar faces. If you’re there, do come and say hello 👋

RICS UK Awards 2025 🏆

We’re proud to share that Honeywell Survey & Design was shortlisted for “Outstanding Contribution to Surveying by an SME” at the RICS UK Awards 2025!

Although we didn’t take home the top prize this time, being recognised nationally by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is a huge achievement for our growing team and a reflection of the standards we set in our work every day.

A big thank you to Claudia and Ellie for representing us at the event — a well-deserved celebration of everything the team has achieved over the past year.

We’re grateful to RICS for the recognition and to our clients and partners for their continued trust and support. Onwards and upwards for 2025!
