Employee Spotlight: Dr Claire Lovell – Head of Project Management
We're delighted to introduce Claire, who joined Matrix Consulting Engineers just one month ago and has already made a fantastic impression on the team!
In her role, Claire is taking the reins on the project management side of the business, aligning projects to our business strategy, standardising best practice across Matrix, and bringing visibility to capacity and resource planning.
Claire's career is nothing short of impressive. She began in the food sector, gaining early mechanical and metallurgical engineering experience on her path to chartership with the IMechE, before moving into aerospace with Rolls-Royce, where she completed her Doctorate in Friction Welding for advanced aerospace applications. From there, she built her expertise as Head of Project Management in the Hard Tech industry, and now she's bringing all of that knowledge and experience to Matrix.
Her favourite part of the job? "Speaking with all our stakeholders and delivering projects to time, scope, and cost."
Outside of work, Claire spends her weekends running, walking, and cycling in the countryside with family and friends, and cheering on her children as they run, dance, sing, and play rugby up and down the UK!
When asked about life at Matrix, Claire said the team has been incredibly welcoming, with a great balance of dedication and camaraderie. We couldn't be happier to hear it.
