North Devon Jules I'm Jules. I live in beautiful North Devon UK. I'm promoting this beautiful vacation location.

L is for Lee Bay πŸŒŠπŸ’™

A little tucked-away cove on the North Devon coast, with a rocky shoreline, beautiful scenery and plenty to discover when the tide goes out.

It's a bit of a wander from the car park, but that's all part of discovering this lovely little corner of North Devon.

L is for Lynmouth πŸŒŠπŸ’™

Yesterday we wandered around Lynton, so tonight we're heading down the hill to its lovely neighbour, Lynmouth.

There's something rather special about this little village, tucked between the wooded hills and the sea. From the harbour and rocky beach to the river running through the village, there are so many lovely corners to explore.

And of course, there's the cliff railway if you fancy travelling between the two without tackling that hill on foot! 🚞

Lynmouth is also home to five clues in my North Devon Adventure Quest, giving you another reason to slow down and look a little closer. 🐾

L is for Lynton πŸŒΏπŸ’™

A little wander around Lynton, with its pretty streets, colourful flowers and wonderful views over the surrounding hills and coastline.

And of course, there's that famous cliff railway connecting Lynton with Lynmouth below.

It's one of those places where it's worth taking your time and looking at the little details along the way.

There are even five North Devon Adventure Quest clues to discover around Lynton if you fancy turning your wander into a little adventure! 🐾

K is for Kipling Tors 🌊

A little climb in Kipling Tors above Westward Ho! brought me to this rather lovely lookout, with colourful artwork inside and a wonderful view of the North Devon coastline through its open window spaces.

I was hoping for a slightly wilder sea, but those moody skies made up for it. And I do love finding somewhere that makes you stop and look a little longer. πŸ’™

J is for Jules' Choice! πŸ’™

Would you think of visiting an industrial estate to discover somewhere new? πŸ‘€

Well, my A–Z of North Devon has taken a little detour for J! 🀣

After 20 years living here, I've gradually found myself shopping more locally. I still visit the supermarkets, of course, but there's something lovely about picking up fresh bread, eggs, vegetables and the occasional treat from local businesses.

And one place that's really caught my attention is Chivenor Industrial Estate.

With Ashford Farm Shop, Area 51 Coffee, Heartbreak Bakery, a surf cafΓ© and Rock Hopper Taphouse, it's becoming quite a little collection of places worth knowing about.

Sometimes discovering North Devon isn't about finding another beautiful beach. It's about noticing what's happening in the places you normally drive straight past. 😊

Where's your favourite little independent shop in North Devon?

I is also for Instow! πŸ’™

Another stop on my A–Z of North Devon, and this time we're heading to the Torridge estuary. 😊

Instow is one of those places where I can happily spend ages doing very little!

There's the beach, the boats bobbing on the water or resting on the sand as the tide goes out, the lovely waterfront, and views across to Appledore.

Wander a little further and you'll find reminders of the old railway, little details tucked away and plenty of places to stop and watch the world go by.

I've visited in sunshine, cloud and everything in between, and there's always something different to photograph. 🌊

Are you an Instow wanderer, or do you prefer to find a seat and enjoy the view? 😁

I is for Ilfracombe! πŸ’™

Back to the seaside for the next stop on my A–Z of North Devon! 😁

Ilfracombe is one of those places where I always seem to find something else to photograph, however many times I visit.

There's the harbour, of course, with its boats bobbing on the water, Verity standing watch and colourful buildings tucked around the hillside. But wander a little further and you'll find little lanes, hidden corners, lovely sea views and plenty of reminders of the town's history.

I've visited in sunshine, rain and everything in between, and there's always something different to catch my eye. 🌊

Here are a few of my favourite glimpses of Ilfracombe through the seasons.

What's your favourite little corner of Ilfracombe? 😊

Apparently one Croyde post is never enough... πŸ’™πŸŒŠ

But then, can you ever have too much Croyde? 😊

Back to the alphabet tomorrow, I have been away for work.

06/10/2026

A little Croyde Corner for your evening πŸ’™πŸŒŠ
Because this view never gets old. 😊

H is also for Hockings! πŸ¦πŸ’™

Well, it wouldn't be a North Devon A–Z without this one, would it? 😁

Those little yellow and white vans have a habit of appearing in some of my favourite North Devon spots, so this H comes with a challenge...

How many Hockings stops have you visited? πŸ‘€πŸ¦

I've photographed a few on my travels, eaten rather more ice creams than I've photographed 🀣, and have even been known to sit at Northam Burrows waiting for the van to trundle past purely because I wanted the shot.

Apparently this is what my life has become. 🀣

And I've only recently discovered that there's more than the traditional vanilla to investigate too... πŸ‘€

So, how many Hockings locations can you tick off?
