🐭⚡ Not all electricians are called out for faulty wiring… sometimes it’s a wildlife rescue that’s a little too late! ⚡🐭

Today’s emergency call-out was a bit different…

The customer’s kitchen circuit kept tripping. After some fault finding, we discovered the culprit – a mouse (Jerry) had decided that electrical cable looked like a tasty snack. Unfortunately for him, 230 volts had other ideas! 😬

The damaged cable was safely repaired, the circuit was fully tested, and the customer was back up and running in no time.

Moral of the story: If your electrics keep tripping, don’t just keep resetting the breaker. It could be something much more serious hidden away.

🥶 Boiler Check Post – “The Winter MVP” 🔥

Let’s be honest…
Your boiler is the real hero of winter.
While the rest of us are complaining about the cold, it’s working overtime — heating water, powering radiators, and silently questioning why everyone showers at 7am. 😂🔥

But here’s the serious bit:
A boiler that’s overworked and under-serviced is far more likely to:
✔️ Break down during cold spells
✔️ Lose efficiency (meaning higher bills!)
✔️ Leave you waking up to a house that feels like Antarctica ❄️

That’s why a quick annual service is one of the smartest winter prep steps you can take.
It helps:
🔧 Spot issues early
⚡ Improve performance
🏠 Keep your home warm and comfortable
💸 Save money by avoiding emergency callouts

Because nobody wants to spend winter asking,
“Why is the house colder than the fridge?!”

Keep your winter running smoothly. Keep your boiler happy.

❄️ Winter Tip from TMContrax (with a smile!) ❄️

Your gutters called…
They said they’re not big fans of holding onto autumn’s leftovers. 🍂😅

With all the rain we’re getting this winter, it’s important to keep your drains and guttering free from leaves and debris.
Blocked gutters = overflowing water, damp walls, and a whole lot of “Why is that dripping!?” moments.

A quick clean now can save you from big headaches later — and your gutters will appreciate not having to carry around all that extra weight. 💪🪣

Stay dry, stay safe, and remember:

⚡ Electrical Xmas Safety Tip – “The Overworked Socket” 😂

Winter is the season when plug sockets suddenly become busier than Santa’s workshop.
Heaters, air fryers, Christmas lights, chargers, electric blankets — all fighting for the same outlet like it’s Black Friday. 😅

But here’s the truth:
Overloading a socket is one of the quickest ways to cause overheating or an electrical fire.

A good rule of thumb:
👉 If it gives off heat, it deserves its own plug — no sharing!
(Heaters are divas. They don’t like roommates.)

So spread the load, unplug what you don’t need, and let your sockets breathe this winter.
Your house — and your electrics — will thank you.
