A note for tenants during the Coronavirus Pandemic…
To ensure the safety of our staff, tenants and contractors we are changing some of our processes around property viewings, visits and repairs. We would ask that all our tenants familiarise themselves with our property visit procedure as set out below:
In preparation for any visit, we ask that, where possible, tenants clean surfaces that the contractor/staff member is likely to come into contact with using standard domestic cleaning products.
Tenants should ensure internal doors are left open to avoid the contractor/staff member having to touch door handles. Where possible you should also ventilate the property prior to and during the visit e.g. by opening windows.
We ask that the household, where possible, vacate the property or stay in another room while the visit proceeds.
On the day of the visit, we will call ahead to ask if any occupants of the premises have signs of the virus, have been diagnosed, or are self-isolating, and to check that you are comfortable with our visit taking place. Please note, no visits will take place at any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded, unless it is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household, such as emergency repairs, and where the tradesperson is willing to do so.
Information on Visits
Our contractor/staff member will undertake all necessary health and safety precautions while in your home. This will include:
1. Cleaning their hands thoroughly with soap & water or alcohol based hand sanitiser immediately before entering the property.
2. Minimising contact with home occupiers at all times and following government guidelines on physical distancing and personal hygiene. The contractor/staff member will not shake hands with you or other occupants.
3. Avoiding touching surfaces in the property any more than necessary.
4. Wiping down any tools and instruments before and after any work.
If you have any questions please feel free to call our offices.
