Hambledon Valley, you can't go wrong with the Skirmett, Fingest and Turville pub circular if you are looking for an Easter walk. Park at The Frog in Skirmett (a great pub, but you'll need to book if you're going to eat too) and look up www.alltrails.com for the 4.75 Km walk. You have hills, views, a windmill from the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang film and the Vicar of Dibly village to walk through too.

Gourmet Dining in Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire.

The Coach in Marlow claims Special Award in the Michelin Awards 2023. Silverstone racetrack was fittingly the location for Michelin’s Guide Ceremony on Monday 27th March. The culinary experts took great pleasure in revealing their new Michelin Star, Green Star and Special Award winners at the ceremony.

The Special Awards for 2023 had just five categories and we were delighted that Sarah Hayward from The Coach in Marlow won Young Chef. The Coach has one Michelin star and is located just down the road from its bigger sister, the two Michelin starred Hand and Flowers, which is Tom Kerridge’s flagship pub.

Diners at The Coach are invited to enjoy the relaxed and informal style and all the theatre of service with its open plan kitchen. Sarah and her team offer a small plate menu of refined British classics that Tom Kerridge is renowned for. The menu sets out its stall with headings of ‘Meat,’ ‘No Meat’ and ‘Sweet’, which are carefully prepared, unfussy pub dishes.

We are lucky to be in an area spoilt for choice when it comes to Michelin recommended dining (from Michelin featured to ‘Bib Gourmand’ awards to Michelin stars).
