Beautiful

The causeway, the refuge, and the Milky Way ✨ Holy Island, the ancient tidal island cut off from the main land twice a day by the tides this refuge hut sitting along the causeway a last chance for safety illuminated by the Milky Way and starry night sky.

Taken in those last moments before the tide engulfed the causeway with water lapping at the sides it was indeed a race against time after a successful night Astro shooting earlier this year around the island this was the last planned composition.

Sunrise just starting to peek over the horizon gave a lovely orange glow to the distance, Holy Island has long been a favourite destination in Northumberland of mine I could wander round forever taking in the beauty but something special about the very still of the middle of the night under the stars ✨
