The beautiful picturesque village of Beer is located on the UNESCO in Devon. Surrounded by white chalk cliffs, the shingle beach is lined with fishing boats still bringing in their daily catches and is famous for its mackerel.

On the edge of the South West Coast Path, Beer has some of the most stunning coastal walks in the county, one of the best being from Seaton to Beer with dramatic views across the . Beer was also named by BBC Countryfile Live as the Top Picnic spot in the UK from at the top of the headland, chose for its stunning view of the beach and village from the hillside.

Things to Do in Beer:
➡️ A day in Beer is best spent exploring the coastal walks and views from the cliffs that surround this pretty fishing village. Walk right and head to the town of Seaton, Devon, United Kingdom, or left and walk to the village of – either way the views will astound you.
➡️ Beer beach is a shingle beach, great for family days out as well as relaxing in a deckchair admiring the view. Beer Quarry Caves are worth exploring with daily tours through this ancient quarry that dates back to Roman times.
➡️ There are many family friendly attractions nearby, Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, Crealy Theme Park & Resort - Devon, and the The Donkey Sanctuary Sidmouth. Mackerel fishing boat trips are available from Beer Beach, or if you fancy a little history, head to Exmouth to do a Jurassic Coast Cruise with Stuart Line Cruises.
➡️ Although small, Beer's pleasant flint-studded buildings include interesting shops and galleries, and excellent places to eat.

Morning! A video for you rather than a photo today. During my recent nighttime visit to Beer, I took a sequence of images of the stars over the boats on the beach. The intention was to stack the images which can help to reduce noise and make the stars better defined. However, as there was lots of wispy cloud in the sky, instead I made this short timelapse. Did you know Beer hosts a 3-day R&B festival every year?! 🎶

The 22nd Festival will take place 11-13 October 2019, and our beautiful cottage 🏡( ) is the perfect place to stay during the festival! 🎵

Started in 1998 by Jim Riley, the festival is now an established part of the calendar with people returning year after year to what has been described as “surely the best little festival in the UK”.
