We will always love you, Dolly ❤️☘️

One of my very first memories is listening to Dolly and Kenny playing in Daddy’s lorry. Those songs somehow became part of the soundtrack of growing up.

And maybe Ireland loved Dolly so much because she understood us. She understood humble beginnings, hard times, family, faith and most of all, the power of a good story.

Dolly said it best herself: “The Irish have always loved me and I have always loved them. We speak the same language.”

We really did, Dolly. Rest now in Peace wee Dolly, we will always love you ❤️☘️

A Tradition Slowly Fading…

Cutting turf is part of the story of rural Ireland.

For generations, families went to the bog each year, cutting, footing and saving turf to heat their homes through the winter. It was hard work, but it was also community, tradition and a deep connection to the land.

Today, far fewer people do it, but remembering these old traditions matters.

Because heritage isn’t only the buildings we restore.
It’s the stories, skills and ways of life that shaped the people who came before us.
