Check out this amazing scheme in Suffolk that we’ve been developing with an existing client and . This is a deconstructed home compiled of multiple linked blocks. The irregular shape helps it blend into the tree line, the topography of the site and its surroundings. This unconventional shape also makes the most of the views around it and maximises light while mitigating the greenhouse effect with its deep reveals. Roof terraces and turrets are positioned to afford the client a sea view. This build will likely be constructed of pre- fabricated CLT (cross laminated timber).

We are utilising early contractor engagement which allows us to look at buildability and make value engineering suggestions that will reduce cost and increase efficiency without compromising on quality. Often, a project is designed and then tendered for the client to only then realise that the scheme is too expensive or that their budget was not realistic.

2026 winner! We’re so proud to have been part of this paragraph 79 scheme which wasn’t just about the house, but the transformation of the whole site with wildlife and sustainability being the core considerations. Paddocks were transformed into wildflower meadows, ponds and swales were constructed and local chalk was brought in to encourage butterflies. Monitoring was added and many new species inhabit the site since completion. Reject bricks were sourced from just down the road and turned into art, although this wasn’t just for show. The house formed bee habitats, bat boxes, bird boxes and swallow ledges. The house itself was a super airtight CLT and Glulam prefab house manufactured in a zero waste factory with the diagrid roof structure left on show. The heating, cooling and hot water was provided by a decentralised ASHP system located 40m from the house to maximise space within the property. The copper facia and soffit has aged brown to blend in with its environment and finished off with a sedum roof. All these features combined help the house hide amongst its surroundings, nestled into the chiltern valley. Congratulations to on being recognised for the wonderful work that you produce and thankyou to for being a fantastic client. The vision you had for your home steered this whole process towards something pretty spectacular.

The Orchard within the Chilterns was a classic restoration and renovation with a contemporary pre-fabricated glulam and CLT (cross-laminated timber) addition with exposed diagrid ceiling and sedum roof with heating supplied via wood chip boiler.

The original brickwork was ice blasted back to its former glory and the bricks on the extension were expertly matched and blended by .g.matthews .

Lots of progress on our new site in our big push up to Christmas. We’ve installed over 100 piles, utilities, soakaway borehole and below slab drainage with a view to completing the piled raft before the holidays.
