Edinburgh property agency Rettie & Co has launched a rural asset management division led by a new team that includes a former Scotland rugby international.

MEET THE TEAM.

Third team member to be introduced is Chris Hall.

Chris began his property career in 1987 when he joined Langley-Taylor Chartered Surveyors. He became RICS qualified in 1991 and subsequently became a partner in the firm. Chris joined Rettie & Co. in 2005 to establish the Rural and Professional Services Departments. Chris is a member of the RICS, a RICS Valuer, and also farms in Kinross-shire where he grew up. Chris lives in Edinburgh with his family.

Next up is Lucy Murray.

Lucy is an experienced estate agent and rural consultant at Rettie & Co. With a background in social sciences and a BSc Hons Combined Social Science degree from the University of Plymouth, Lucy joined Rettie & Co. in 2017 and recently transitioned to the Rural Asset Management Team. Lucy's expertise spans various areas, including farm and estate management, energy/renewables, utilities, valuation, sales, agricultural landlords and tenants, lettings, and planning and development opportunities. Lucy is also working towards achieving agricultural valuer status through CAAV examinations in the future.

First up we have Fergus Thomson.

Fergus joined Rettie & Co. in 2021 as an Associate Director and heads up the Rural Asset Management Department. Fergus is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), RICS Registered Valuer and a Fellow of the Central Association for Agricultural Valuers (FAAV) and can provide a wide range of rural professional services including: farm and estate management, energy/renewables, utilities, valuation, sales, agricultural landlords and tenants, lettings, and planning and development opportunities.
