🛑 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟯 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 & 𝗔 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘆! 🚐💻

After taking yesterday off for a much-needed family day, we’ve been back at the keyboards today making some massive behind-the-scenes upgrades to the McKell Lodge systems!

Because these bespoke updates are taking a little longer than expected, and I am back on shift driving the Metro for my day job starting tomorrow, the website will remain offline for a few more days. We are aiming to have everything fully tested, live, and ready for you by 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆!

✅ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆:
• 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴: We've upgraded from basic email forms to a custom, server-side messaging system to manage your inquiries faster and more efficiently.
• 𝗙𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: We noticed some guests previously missed their arrival info. We’ve built in strict contingency checks to ensure these always send! *(Pro-tip: Since our site is relatively new, always check your SPAM folders just in case!)*
• 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹: You can now reach us at our new dedicated address: 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁@𝗺𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗹𝗼𝗱𝗴𝗲.𝗰𝗼.𝘂𝗸. This is updated online and will soon be updated on the welcome poster inside the van.
• 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘: Our new mailing list system is built! You'll be able to sign up directly on the site for exclusive discount codes and updates. (And yes, there’s an easy one-click unsubscribe link in every email).

🚧 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼-𝗗𝗼 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸:
• Adjusting the booking calendar to open up January of next year.
• Incorporating our new monthly payment plans.
• Adding clear notes to the booking page regarding play passes, deposits, and our 7-day refund policy.
• Displaying our automatic 15% discount for stays over 4 nights.
• Expanding our social media presence and exploring integrations with Airbnb and Booking.com.

Thank you all so much for your patience while we get everything absolutely perfect behind the scenes. We’ll see you on Friday for the big relaunch!

🛑 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 & 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁! 🚐✨

We are officially underway with our big updates for McKell Lodge! Thank you all for your patience while the website is temporarily offline. We’ve already crossed a few major items off our list today, and we're hard at work on the rest this weekend.

Here is a quick look at what we've done and what's coming next:

✅ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲'𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮y:
• Reduced our dog deposit from £50 down to £25! 🐾
• Introduced flexible new rates, separating Monday–Friday nightly rates from weekend rates
• Successfully integrated brand-new discount code capabilities directly into our booking system! 🏷️

🚧 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱:
• Incorporating flexible monthly payment plans 💳
• Launching our new mailing list and an integrated admin messaging system.
• Expanding our social media presence and exploring future integration with platforms like Booking.com and Airbnb.
• Other minor tweaks to improve visibility of terms and conditions through the booking process

Your data safety and booking experience are our top priorities while we test our Stripe payment gateway behind the scenes. We'll keep you posted on our progress, and our aim is to have the website back online by the end of Sunday!

The only thing we're missing is photographs of the new caravan and its location on Lakeside East - these will appear around 23-25th October after we complete handover!

🛑 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧: 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴!

Big things are happening behind the scenes! Starting TOMORROW, we will be temporarily taking down our website and Facebook Marketplace adverts.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲?
We are getting everything ready for an incredible 2027 season, including the launch of our new upgrade caravan! We're also upgrading our systems to give you a better booking experience, including:

✅ 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀!
✅ 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀!
✅ 𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀!

💳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆. While the site is down, we are putting our payment system (Stripe) through rigorous testing in "test mode" to guarantee your payments are 100% secure and correct before we reopen.

💌 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗦: Keep a close watch on your email inbox. We will soon be sending exclusive invitations, discounts, and special offers to try out our new caravan and location first!

Thank you for your patience while we make these exciting improvements. We can’t wait to welcome you back!
