We are a professional block management company dedicated to providing comprehensive block management services for residential blocks. Our experienced team ensures the efficient running of communal areas, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of property care, and managing finances with transparency. We tailor our services to meet your needs, ensuring your property is

well-maintained and compliant with all regulations. Formed in 2006 by Co-Directors Scott White and Darran Cohen, we soon became established and grew to be the number 1 choice of Estate Agent in Bexhill. In 2014 our Block Management division was established & our portfolio soon grew, along with our reputation for being professional, approachable and proactive. In 2018, we acquired ‘Findley and Son’ shortly followed by ‘Fairways Management’, these purchases led to the decision that, to enable us to offer our clients the best possible service, we should run Block Management as a completely separate company thus ‘Findley's Of Cooden’ was born. Findley’s of Cooden now employs 10 members of staff, including 4 dedicated Block Managers. We also have a full time Company Secretary, plus assistant, should your block wish to undertake this additional option. We have recently installed the most up to date and comprehensive software system to allow us to manage our ever expanding portfolio. Due to the growth of the team we have relocated to our new office in Little Common, Bexhill, where we are ideally placed to manage our blocks across East Sussex.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Block Manager to join our busy team in Little Common at Findleys of Cooden.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident in managing their own portfolio, who can deliver a high standard of service to leaseholders while ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of residential blocks.

You will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of properties, building strong relationships with clients, and ensuring all aspects of block management are handled professionally and proactively.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of residential blocks independently
Handling day-to-day maintenance issues and coordinating contractors
Preparing and overseeing budgets and service charge expenditure
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements
Carrying out regular property inspections
Managing major works projects where required
Responding to leaseholder enquiries in a professional and timely manner
Liaising with freeholders, leaseholders, contractors, and other stakeholders
Maintaining accurate records and updating property files

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in block/property management
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage a portfolio independently
A proactive and problem-solving approach
Good knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
Attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
