Great afternoon of entertainment

A very enjoyable afternoon at the Beach Garden. 'Quatro' a Sax Quartet played some great music to a host of wonderful people, who came to support this Bexhill Festival of Music event.
The Bexhill Mayor Memish Huseyin joined us for the event, and chatted to many of our visitors.
It is the second anniversary of the Beach Garden, and we had bithday cakes to celebrate.
This is the first event at the Beach Garden, and clearly a great success, so watch this space!!
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to make this happen, and thank you to the children of Battle Abbey Prep School, for decorating our refreshment tent.

What a great day!!
National Gardens has given us a donation that has enabled us to buy 100 more plants for the Bexhill Beach Garden, and with the help of Athelas Plants, supplying the plants and offering their help and expertise, we have been able to significantly enhance this very special space.
A huge thank you to the 'Friends of the Beach Garden'. Who gave 2hrs of their time today to plant the plants, and create a very stunning site for our residents and visitors.

Busy day at the Beach Garden today with the help of a team from Hastings Direct making up the Gabion planters

A massive thank you to volunteers from Hastings Direct.
They came along to the Beach Garden today to help us erect 22 gabion planters, fill them with shingle, and also plant them out.
What a happy, friendly and willing bunch they were.
It is our hope that these planters will give added resilience to the garden and help to protect the decking areas.
Another big thank you to Jim, Chris, Alan, Sandra and Ray who supported the volunteers and helped with the project.
Great job everyone. Thank you.

What an honour for the Beach Garden to receive a Civic Pride Award from Bexhill Heritage.
They had a very enjoyable afternoon awarding a number of places in Bexhill. All the winners were exceptional, and had wonderful stories to tell. Thank you Bexhill Heritage for recognising some of the incredible places that make Bexhill so special.
