Saddlers project update…
It’s been a little while since our last update, so here’s an honest look at where the project currently stands.
We’ve faced several unexpected delays. The new site addresses took considerably longer than the local authority’s six-week target to register, despite everything being submitted in good time and in line with our programme. This then held up the utility connections.
We’ve also been working through the drainage connection, which requires agreements to access existing runs within private property. It’s been a challenging process, but we haven’t stood still. We’ve continued pushing the project forward wherever possible.
Plot One is now nearing completion inside, and we’re really pleased with how it has come together. From the kitchen and oak effect flooring to the ceramics, underfloor heating and finishing details, every choice has been made to create a home that feels considered, comfortable and built to last.
Only the final grouting and carpets remain, with the carpets to be fitted once the home is sold.
Both rear gardens are fenced and topsoiled ready for turf, with patios laid and waiting for their first BBQs.
Plot Two still gives its future owner the opportunity to choose their kitchen from a selected range, allowing them to put their own touch on the home before moving in.
Outside, the render, composite doors and porch roofs are looking fantastic. Once the drainage connection is complete, we can finish the driveways and landscaping and bring these two homes over the line.
While navigating these delays, we’ve also been supporting other developers with their projects and shaping the next chapter of Kingsmen.
Saddlers has taught us a great deal, not only about building homes, but about who we are, how we work and what we want Kingsmen to become.
