Are you aware that the government have announced new long term targets for improving energy efficiency standards within the rental sector

The plan involves all new tenancies for private rented homes to be raised to an EPC rating of C or above by 2025 and all existing tenancies by the year 2028

Penalties as high at 30K could be handed out to Landlords/Landlady’s who fail to comply within the set time frame and may even result in the banning of properties being advertised across portals such as Rightmove, Zoopla and more with EPC ratings below C

Knock on effect - this could result in a heavy influx of Landlords selling there properties
