CLEANER REQUIRED

Part time – Monday to Friday ‘No weekends’

Salary £11.00 per hour, plus paid annual leave and pension scheme

Edgbaston Lettings is looking for a part-time Cleaner to join their team on a permanent contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work flexible hours, Monday to Friday, between 9.30am and 5.00pm. No weekend work is required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning the communal areas of the company’s HMOs. Working 14.5 hours a week, the successful applicant will need to be reliable and able to work independently.

Ideally, the applicant will be a car owner as some of the properties are not easily accessible by public transport. Previous experience in cleaning is a bonus, but not essential.
Applicants should be friendly, and customer focused, with good communication skills.

If you are looking for a part-time job in Edgbaston and you are an experienced cleaner or you are keen to learn, please do not hesitate to apply for this role.

So, after many years of working for Edgbaston Lettings and managing just over 30 properties and 170 happy tenants the time has come once again when we have nothing available. (Due to our successful lettings rate, of course!)

In these quieter times you start to reflect and think back to some of the funny times, and awkward moments you’ve had over the years.

The most recent one was agreeing for a tenant to have an extremely cute fluffy baby rabbit as a pet in a NO PETS home, “as long as you keep it outside secure in a pen, that will be fine.”

Just over a year had passed when I found out this cute little bunny rabbit had grown into a 2-foot house pet who loved to chew!

Luckily the rabbit was re-homed and lived happily ever after.

Apologies once again to the landlord ‘you know who you are!’ thankfully he eventually saw the funny side too! 😉
