Last week the Regulator of Social Housing responded to the 2020 Consumer Regulation Review and a few of the breaches they discovered.

LESSON 2. “…tenants’ diverse needs into account over the course of their business…”

• Renov8 understands the needs and requirements for those housed within the care sector.

• All our field teams are well adversed and specially trained to provide maintenance services to properties housing vulnerable adults.

• Our emergency and same day call outs represent almost 30-35% of all maintenance jobs. These are prioritised based on those deemed the most urgent to the care provider.

Today marks the International Day of Older Persons, aiming to raise awareness of the impact of the ageing population.

During the hardships of the pandemic, those vulnerable older persons have been affected the most, having to self-isolate and shut off from society.

Today, we want to celebrate the work that Ribchester Careline has carried out over the last seven months, helping the elderly and other vulnerable residents within their local community.

The Careline receive requests for prescriptions pick-ups, shopping and newspapers collection for those who are self-isolating.

To assist with this Renov8 provided telecommunication support, helping with the set up, maintenance and call costs of a dedicated phone number.

To thank the volunteers for all their efforts , Renov8 is sponsoring the ongoing costs to enable requests to be managed via the Careline number.

It has been particularly active during the CoronaVirus pandemic, delivering prescriptions, shopping and newspapers as well as organising family activities such as the butterfly trail and artwork display

Earlier this year Renov8 sponsored Hugh McCaw, the founder of Children Today Charitable Trust on his adventure, ‘Trek Transylvania’. A great cause raising funds for young people and children with disabilities.

The sponsors were due to be trekking the Bucegi Moutains of Romania today but unfortunately due to the ongoing effects of the Coronavirus the charitable expedition has been postponed.

We are looking forward to 2021 when we can once again wish Hugh well on his travels, but until then the charity have come up with various other ways we can all support the children and young adults.
