Planning approved!

Working closely with and .co.uk , APG have achieved success for our Client’s dream new build home, located in Hampshire.

Following pre-application engagement, we worked proactively with Officers at Test Valley Borough Council to ensure any concerns were overcome.

The application was also approved within 8 weeks from submission, with no pre-commencement conditions and our Clients are delighted!

Fantastic work to Zoe and Dan for getting this through! Another great example of why we love to work with Richmond Bell Architects and Indigo Landscape Architects.

Happy World Town Planning Day 2023!

At Atlas, our vision is to create vibrant, multi-use, and sustainable environments in every sense - environmentally, economically, and socially.

How do we make this vision a reality? Our contribution lies in ensuring excellent design and finding imaginative solutions to complex situations. We believe that careful planning can prevent spaces from becoming, or continuing to be, vacant or underutilised, ensuring that every piece of land or building serves a purpose, whether that be addressing the housing crisis, supporting farmers through diversifying or promoting health and wellbeing.

We're passionate about bringing prominent disused buildings in city centres back into use. We believe these buildings are the historical and architectural soul of our cities, and their revitalisation can breathe new life into urban spaces, now more than ever they need our help.

We're incredibly proud of our recent pro bono work for "Caring in Bristol," where we've been tackling homelessness in the Bristol area. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to creating inclusive, compassionate communities.

We've had the pleasure to be involved in some remarkable projects that promote social sustainability and cultural diversity. We've collaborated with community centres, meeting halls, mosques, and churches that celebrate the rich multicultural diversity within our cities.

Another recent project, a sustainable house in the South Downs National Park, is a testament to our commitment to sustainability. This project boasts an impressive 79% CO2 saving beyond building regulations and an 18% biodiversity net gain, almost double the incoming target.

This World Town Planning Day, we invite you to join us in creating the cities and communities we all dream of - vibrant, sustainable, and full of life. Share your thoughts, ideas, and aspirations for the cities of the future!

Atlas have been working behind the scenes to create something special!

The company started out as a team of young planners. Five years later, our huge success has proven that enthusiasm, a thirst for learning, and a positive attitude is worth far more than years of experience. We believe it is vital to ensure that any young planner starting out is offered the best support and advice, and not just stuck doing the same tasks day in day out.

We are proud to introduce our new Mentorship programme, led by our Principal planner and mentor, Becca, who will offer the level of support needed for any individual to thrive, not just survive.

Through regular mentor meetings and tailored CPD sessions, young planners will receive unparalleled guidance and support, ensuring they embark on a journey that not only propels their career but also shapes them as a planning professional.

If you're thinking about a career in planning get in touch or join our talent bank so you can stay up to date with the latest opportunities.

Planning permission and listed building consent secured! A great result for our client Caring in Bristol, who do fantastic work tackling homelessness in the Bristol area. These permissions will allow the organisation to utilise their headquarters as a youth shelter for young people awaiting short/medium term housing solutions.

It was great to work with APG-Architecture on this project – thanks to Josie & co for their assistance.

Certainly, the right result, and one that will provide great value to the charity and their clients. Great work all!

Working closely with DG Architectural Studio, we have secured full planning permission for extensive alterations and improvements to a dilapidated dwelling, and the er****on of two luxurious dwellings in a village location in Test Valley.

The site was a challenge, with highways, tree and ecological constraints but we were able to achieve a delegated consent for our Client.

A fantastic outcome for a local developer on this constrained site and as always, a pleasure to work with DG Architectural Studio.

We also avoided expensive nitrate mitigation payments through ensuring the drainage strategy would result in a decrease in nitrate loading.

Fantastic work by our associate planner, Zoe!

Another great result! Wiltshire Council have approved the residential conversion of an existing office building to our client’s delight.

Utilising the Class MA permitted development right, Atlas Planning Group prepared a prior approval application which demonstrated the proposed development was in complete accordance with the relevant criteria of the General Permitted Development Order.

Many projects will benefit from utilising permitted development rights to achieve proposals which may otherwise have been made more complicated than necessary by going through a ‘standard’ planning application.

Fantastic work to our Associate Planner, Ben🎉
