Could Scotland’s new **£10,000 First-Time Buyer Fund** help more people get moving?

For many first-time buyers, saving the deposit is the biggest barrier — not always the monthly mortgage.

This new Scottish Government scheme could offer eligible first-time buyers up to **£10,000 in interest-free support** towards a home worth up to £300,000.

That matters for buyers.

But it could also matter for sellers.

More first-time buyers entering the market may mean more motivated purchasers looking at homes across Edinburgh, Midlothian and the Scottish Borders.
