The company was originally formed in the 1920`s by Bill Holmes who ran the business from this time until 1979 when he retired, apart from doing his service throughout the war. The business was then re-started by his son Andy in 1981 and is now run by Andy together with his wife Gillian, daughter Nik & son Mike along with drivers Andy, Richard & George. The main part of the business is delivering c

oal and solid fuels to domestic properties within an approximate 25 mile radius of the depot at Edenham. The company also now specialise in steam coal for traction engines of all types and sizes, supplying and distributing coal at rallies and events. Picture on the left is coal being delivered to showman's engine at Rempstone Steam 2003 using our 1948 Leyland Comet. We are now also offering a national delivery service on coal and smokeless on a mail order basis.
