JOB ROLE
VeriSmart Bournemouth & Southampton are looking to hire self-employed, flexible, motivated individuals to join our expanding teams in the Bournemouth and Southampton areas.
Your role will be to carry out a variety of inspections at the property using a Dictaphone and tablet, take detailed photographs and accurately record your findings into a standardised report using our bespoke software. On occasion, you will be liaising directly with tenants and landlords, but mainly working on your own. You will receive your own web-based calendar system which will hold all the information needed for you to carry out the necessary work and automatically generate invoices for the work done.
WHAT WE ARE OFFERING
A career as a property inspector with further progression and training to undertake our compliance services. To be part of a vibrant fast-paced team in which you will be fully supported in your role as property inspector through a dedicated support line, regular team meetings and training to keep you up with current legislation and industry standards.
A training period of 4-6 weeks. Initially web-based training with a dedicated tutor then approximately 3 days of shadowing covering a range of inspections with an experienced person.
We are offering this position on a SELF EMPLOYED basis β You will be responsible for paying your own tax and national insurance β we can help with the set up if required.
You will have the flexibility to run your own day, on occasion you will be required to fulfil timed appointments or work at short notice during busy periods - This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a career in the property industry.
All work is paid on a per-job basis, the more jobs you do the more you earn! Job prices vary depending on the size of the property and what type of inspection/compliance is required once there. Typically From Β£23 - Β£100 per job.
The majority of jobs are within the local area although mileage allowance is given for out of area bookings.
YOUR REQUIREMENTS
Experience preferred but not necessary as full training will be given.
Good command of the English language.
To be smartly presented and have a pleasant disposition as you will be dealing with other professionals.
To demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy as reports are sometimes used as evidence in dispute proceedings.
Common sense, time management skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
To be available at intervals during our busy summer period.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
A full UK driving license and transport.
A computer with Windows and Microsoft word and a broadband connection.
An android tablet.
A Camera and Dictaphone.
Small wallet of meter keys, torch, note pad etc.
