6. Please respect the privacy of our staff, and to ensure their safety we ask for their names to not be shared in any public-facing social media comments or posts.

7. We’ll never request someone’s personal contact details in a public post. If you’re a tenant and you contact us about something that requires us to ask for contact details. If we need more details, we’ll send you a private message.

8. Please don’t post comments promoting businesses or products. Don’t spam our page with repetitive comments or link baiting. We will delete them and, if necessary, block you.

10. If you follow us, it doesn't mean we'll automatically follow you back. Being followed or re-posted by Habinteg is not an endorsement of any kind.

11. If you have a problem with another member’s comments or anything we post, tell us about it in a private message.

We're wishing Habinteg tenant Bryan the best of luck with his cycle challenge tomorrow!

Bryan is taking on 61-mile, London to Brighton off-road bike ride to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation ( ) and awareness of accessible housing.

He is passionate about accessible housing as it helped his mum stay safe and independent in her home for longer. He moved into his mum’s home at Habinteg's Wylye Lodge in Wilton, near Salisbury, five years ago to support her when she was unwell. Habinteg tenant Peter Harris took part in a panel discussion at the Housing Community Summit yesterday, looking at how we can improve the provision of accessible housing.

One idea that came out of the discussion was the possibility of creating a national map of accessible homes. This could make it easier for residents, housing providers and local authorities to understand where accessible homes are available.

Peter is one of Habinteg’s engaged tenants, helping to shape the way we deliver housing and services through feedback, scrutiny and joint working.

🏠 Accessible homes can play an important part in the future of social care.

Homes that are accessible and adaptable can help people stay independent for longer and receive care and support at home, rather than having to move because their home no longer meets their needs.

That’s why we’re supporting calls for accessible homes to be part of plans to reform adult social care in England.

As part of the review of adult social care, Baroness Louise Casey is asking people across England what they think social care should look like in the future through the Casey Big Conversation.
