How to Clean Extractor Fan Filters:
Cleaning cooker hood filters is an important chore to keep on top of to avoid clogging and grease build ups.

You Will Need:
Hot water
Dishwashing soap
Baking soda or Bicarbonate Soda
Soft cloth
Non-abrasive brush

Extractor Fan Filter Cleaning:
Carefully remove the filters from the hood. The majority of filters should easily pop or slide out.
Fill a large bucket or sink with hot water.
Add a few drops of dishwashing soap and a sprinkle of baking soda into the water. Mix the solution together with a brush, remember the water is very hot!
Place the filters into the water. Submerge the filters into the boiling water, ensuring they are completely covered.
Allow the filters to soak for 10 minutes or more.
Time to scrub. After the filters have been left to soak, scrub them with a non-abrasive brush. For stubborn stains, you may need to add more dish soap directly to the brush.
Once all the grease, grime and dust have been removed, thoroughly rinse the filters in hot water. Then dry with paper towels or a clean cloth.
Put the filters back into the hood and admire your hard work. Repeat the deep cleaning process every 1-2 months.

St Nicholas Day Traditions :
In the days leading up to 5 or 6 December (starting when Saint Nicholas has arrived by steamboat around mid-November), young children put their shoes in front of the chimneys and sing Sinterklaas songs. Often they put a carrot or some hay in their shoes, as a gift to St. Nicholas's horse. In recent years the horse has been named Schimmel or Amerigo in the Netherlands and Slecht Weer Vandaag (bad weather today) in Flanders. The next morning they find a small present in their shoes, ranging from sweets to marbles or some other small toy. On the evening of 5 December, Sinterklaas impersonators (often parents or close by family) bring presents to children who have behaved well (or not; they often both receive presents) in the past year. In practice, just as with Santa Claus, all children receive gifts without distinction.

According to a report by Benham and Reeves, Bradford properties offer an average yield of 10.5% 1. The same report also states that Bradford is one of the best buy-to-let areas in Britain, with BD1 offering 8% rental yields 1.

Furthermore the best rental yields in 2023 are more likely to be found in the north of the country, in areas where rental prices are high and property prices are low 2. Three of the country’s top postcodes for rental yields can be found in the North: BD1 (Bradford, 10.6%), M14 (Manchester, 10.1%) and NE6 (Newcastle-upon-Tyne, 9.8%) 3.

Please note that the rental market is highly localized, and the rental prices can vary significantly depending on the location, type of property, and other factors. It is advisable to do thorough research and seek professional advice before making any decisions.
