Sept 2022 - new shelving in the kitchen, carpets down and a lot of fixtures and furnishings being brought in. Artwork also in progress.

……Covid break!!! It finally caught us up, a gift from Glastonbury festival.

Mid July/August 2022 - Bedroom painting and the great grey debate on shade. Starting to bring the furniture in and huge debate on rugs, materials and artwork, and still no blinds are ordered. Bed linen, duvets and pillows = done!

May/June 2022 - Flagstone pathway, smaller and larger patio works, replacement kitchen flooring, materials for blinds samples, rug samples and install of lounge lighting. And finally a start on the last room, the vaulted ceiling bedroom. Delivery of the sofas and new log burner installed.

Few weeks off from the house for pre covid family events (namely Glastonbury)…..

April 2022 - The kitchen strip back with new door architrave, new doors, refurbishing of the window doors and painting. Clean up of the quarry tiles and the realisation that they look too shabby for the kitchen. New flooring required.

End March/early Apr 2022 - front door being painted, lounge walls painted to white and then grey, top bedroom painted, installation of the slate hearth. Start of painting the hallway. Lovely warm weather and breakfast at the Shanty beach cafe before cliff top walks up through the wild garlic paths. Lovely ❤️

Feb/March 2022 - sanding, and painting windows inside and outside around the weather. Sanding and painting the mahogany stairs and painting more of the pine ceilings. Good to see the start of spring as well.

Jan 2022 - some old photos of The Pearl. A sad day for Branscombe as she retires from this beach and goes off to a new home.

New Year 2022 and early Jan - more work on the front door, more painting and one shattered dog. Coat hook made.

…..Oh and Nat deciding to work full time on the house rather than just weekends. The handing in of notice - done!
