A little restoration story:
The pavilion by the tennis court was built to reflect an older building on the same spot in the 1930s-50s. It’s been slightly redesigned for a new purpose, but echoing its style. Particularly the windows… although location has changed slightly. These old steel and leaded windows were in storage in a shed here for at least 50 years, possibly much longer. Recently dragged out, disassembled, broken panes repaired, re-sealed, frames repainted and reassembled. So this new building now has the same windows the original building had almost 100 years ago.

Just under a year ago we began the task of resurrecting the tennis court here at Little Bray. We decided upon a grass court surface and after many hours of laying and levelling a new planting surface and some months of watching grass grow, fail, burn and grow again it’s now looking pretty good!
Still awaiting full establishment before we paint the lines in but we’re pleased with progress so far and this weather makes everything seem amazing! Gardens looking brilliant throughout.
