Now’s the time to think about Autumn in Dorset, about walks, windy beaches, golden sunlight through the turning leaves, and a gorgeous stay at Rushay.
We’ll have warm fires, cosy bedrooms, great local food and the glorious Dorset coast – not to mention Saturday market in Bridport, proper fish and chips at West Bay, a beachside sauna, good country pubs, and exhilarating views.
Then again, why leave at all? Unwind with a tennis match on our hard court. Table football in the games room, a game of Scrabble or Monopoly, or curl up with a book, chosen from hundreds we’ve stacked and scattered for you around the house.
Autumn and Winter are, we secretly think, the best seasons of the year down here, when the rush of summer visitors is over and you have the hills and the beaches to yourselves.
