This is what real progress looks like 💪🏼

When we first arrived at the Bevern Trust project, it was a blank canvas — and step by step, we’ve turned plans on paper into something you can actually see taking shape 💪🏼

From groundworks and foundations, to brickwork, roofing and the latest stages of the build every phase of this build has its purpose, and every detail matters 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Our team are proud to be working alongside The Bevern Trust to create improved spaces that will support their team and the people they care for 🏡

No shortcuts. No rushing the process. Just quality construction, delivered one stage at a time ✅

Planning an extension? 🏡

Before you start getting contractors around for quotes, there are important things to get right first 🤔

Understanding what you can build, developing the design, and establishing a realistic budget can make a huge difference to how smoothly your project progresses 📈

The more defined the project is from the beginning, the easier it is to manage expectations, costs and the construction programme.

At Focus Building & Development Ltd, we work closely with clients to deliver residential projects from planning through to completion 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Are you thinking about extending or renovating your property? Have you got your design but still can’t find a contractor who is the right fit?

ANOTHER PROJECT UNDERWAY IN BRIGHTON & HOVE 🌅

We’re pleased to announce the start of our latest project in Brighton — a complete internal and external modernisation of a bungalow, with the aim of transforming the property into a contemporary, functional and considered space tailored around our client’s needs.

Projects like this are about far more than simply updating a property.

They’re about reimagining how a space can work for the people who live in it; creating modern, inclusive environments that are practical, comfortable and built to stand the test of time 💪🏼

We’re proud to continue expanding our portfolio across Brighton & Hove, delivering high-quality construction and property transformation projects throughout the region 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Now the transformation begins 👀🛠️

Have a project in mind but haven’t yet found the right contractor to bring it to life?

Whether you’re considering a full renovation, modernisation, extension or something more complex, our team would be happy to discuss your plans

EVERY SPARK TELLS A STORY⚡

Remember Florant we introduced you to recently? Well take a look at this!

We’re lucky to have him, a qualified welder, locking in the steelwork on our Bevern Trust build. No shortcuts. No guesswork. Just years of experience going into every seam 👏🏼

Steel frames like this are the backbone of everything we build. Get it wrong here and the whole structure pays for it later! Which is exactly why we only put qualified hands on jobs like this 🤩

Got a space that needs strengthening, extending, or building from the ground up? This is the standard it’ll be built to. Drop a comment or get in touch through the link in our bio to talk about your project ✅

Meet the Team: Rich 👋🏼

Today we’re introducing Rich, who has been part of the team for around 18 months!

We asked him a couple of questions about his time with us 👇🏼

🔨 Your favourite thing about working with us?
“The variety. Every day and every week is different. I love seeing a job go from wasted land into lovely homes, offices and more. I’m learning new things every week, and the team I work with are fantastic — always ready with advice and tips.”

🏠 Your favourite project so far?
“York Avenue. Taking a run-down HMO and transforming it into two lovely new homes, blending the old styles with modern styles.”

It’s great having people like Rich in the team who are always keen to learn, take on new challenges and share his knowledge with others 🧱

Thanks for everything you bring to the team Rich! 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

A trustworthy contractor doesn’t just show up. They stay accountable from first brick to last tile ✅

That’s the difference between hoping for the best and actually knowing the job gets done right.

That’s why we focus on ensuring our team deliver quality work, day in, day out. A happy client means a happy team in our eyes, and this project with The Bevern Trust is shaping up to be exactly that 👏🏼🚀

MEET THE TEAM: Florant 🛠️

With us since October 2019, Florant’s one of those guys who can turn his hand to almost anything on site — kitchen fitting, fire doors, flooring, plus he’s a qualified flat roofer and welder. Ask him what he loves about the job and it’s simple: no two days look the same 👀

His standout project? St Anne’s House & Court — different tasks every day, exactly how he likes it. And Yellowave holds a special place too — working right on the beach, building relationships with great people, and watching the second Yellowave development come to life from the ground up ☀️

We’re a family run business, and it shows in how our team sticks around. Nearly 7 years of skill, versatility, and genuine care on every job — we’re lucky to have him ✅👏🏼

Roof day 🏠🔧

Bevern Trust project — valley waterproofed, battens set, tiles going back on 🔨

This is the part that decides if it lasts 10 years or 30 ⏳

The team have worked hard to remain on schedule throughout this project and their hard work is really starting to pay off 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Would you have guessed this much work goes into a secure roof valley?

❌ 5 common mistakes we see on builds — and how we make sure they never happen on ours 🏗️❌

At Focus Building and Development Ltd, it’s the details most people don’t think about that make the biggest difference to how a home actually lives — not just how it looks in photos 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Piltdown Progress 🏗️

How do you build something that’s made to last? Start with the foundations 👇🏼

Progress is really starting to take shape at our Piltdown project, with the foundations now in place and the steelwork beginning to rise ✅🏗️

A huge shoutout to the team on site this week — especially working through the heat! ☀️ One of the lads summed it up perfectly:

“It’s like working in a Gas Mark 7 oven 😂”

Despite the temperatures, the team have continued to put in the graft and keep the project moving forward. The steelwork is giving us a real glimpse of what’s to come, and we can’t wait to see the next stage take shape ⏳
