✨ I can’t stress this enough - if you’re planning to move, declutter everywhere BEFORE your Rightmove photos are taken: contrary to popular belief, 9 out of 10 buyers can’t see through all your stuff.

I styled this house after some simple streamlining - buyers loved the result and my clients are now happily settled in their new home

Questions to ask:

Do I love it? Do I need it? Do I really want it in my new place?

✨ Here’s the 10 . . .

• Mugs - chipped, faded, ones at the back of the cupboard you never reach for

• Duplicates (do you need all of those wooden spoons, pans and baking tins?)

• Cookbooks (how many have you never opened?)

• Leaky water bottles

• Scratched Tupperware / boxes with missing lids

• Placemats and tablecloths you don’t use

• Chipped drinking glasses

• Serving dishes and crockery that never see the light of day

• Expired food 🤢

• And finally… go through the junk drawer
