It’s easy to lose track of what we own over the years . . .

• Clothes we never wear
• Gadgets we never use
• Ornaments we no longer notice

Moving is a great time to reassess

Instead of packing everything up last-minute, go through it ideally before going on the market - buyers love to see space and will assume that overflowing cupboards = a lack of storage space

My clients often come to me because they’re struggling to declutter or feeling overwhelmed about getting their home market-ready

TIP: if you find it hard to let go, try an easy win like your bathroom cabinet, mugs, socks or cutlery drawer. Leave everything sentimental until last: pack it away to sort the other end if you’re feeling overwhelmed or low on time

It’s time to start getting all your ducks in a row, so save this one if you’re planning to sell or switch agents in 2026:

🦆 Ask around for estate agent recommendations (ideally from people who’ve sold recently, things have changed a LOT in the last few years)

🦆 Invite several round - I can point you in the right direction if you’d like recommendations

🦆 Look at a few of their details - are the photos eye-catching? Do the words draw you in?

🦆 Get your presentation and price bang-on so buyers are excited about coming round. If you don’t know where to start with the first one, let’s have a chat

The reason I got into home staging is down to my first selling experience, a long saga of agent apathy and price reductions, and I saw the same happening to so many of my friends
