Finally completed.

Top floor 1 bed flat taken.
Middle floor 2 bed flat taken.
Ground floor 2 bed flat with rear courtyard, AVAILABLE.

A selection of before and after photos in no discernable order.

Fast forward to November and I made an effort to leave the house again.
Plumber was on-site installing the pipework and the dry liner pretty much finished building the stud walls on the ground and first floor.

The real exciting bit is the stairs up to the first floor. No more ladders!
So much easier and safer.

I have no idea what happened on-site in October.
Life had other plans for me.

I didn't have much time to visit so this is now August 2024.
Progress wasn't rapid as the build team were also busy on other sites, but I'm happy with what was completed.

I popped in when I could.
Went to check the courtyard patio for the ground floor flat, I opted for slabs instead of gravel after having issues at home with neighbourhood cats marking their territory.

So... I've been slacking again. It's been 8 months since I posted.
Social media took a backseat as I started a new job and had other stuff going on.

But summer went well.
The top floor flat has been first fixed, dry lined and plastered.
The bike shed and bin store also started taking shape.

April went well.

The roof was pretty much completed.
Roof vents, fascia and gutters went up.
Elliott Group also jumped in to finish the ridge tiling after we had issues with a sub contractor.

Rendering was also completed so the scaffold could come down.

March was a busy month.

The rendering team worked on the rear of the unit.
Ground workers started putting up the fencing.
Dryliners were on the ground floor to put the ceiling boards up.
Front windows were frosted.

More furniture was built on site.
I also managed to get promoted from lackey to photographer.
Here we have Mandeep, sporting light grey wardrobes with wood effect slats over the same light grey wall panels.
Needs a few more panels left to complete it but I wanted to test the under cabinet LED strip lights and spotlights first.

February

Helped build some massive wardrobes. A good 3.5m tall. Easily big enough to fit world's tallest man.
Most of the stud work in the middle flat was done, so it's almost ready for first fix.

I went on a mini break to see Sooty at Crealy Theme Park with the family.
I had low expectations but it was actually pretty good.
It even has a Sooty museum showcasing his history from the 1950's so I could reminisce about simpler times...

I think I had more fun than my nephew...
Izzy Wizzy lets get Bizzy!

January

HMO had a few maintenance visits. The garden was tidied and the gutters cleared.
I also earned superhost status from Airbnb. No idea what it means but it sounds good.
Plus a few more wardrobes were built.

So I’ve been slacking again. Last update was 2023.

Well a lots been happening since then. I’ll try do a few monthly updates to catch up...

December

Did a bit of work with a family business. Helped build some of the finest fitted furniture in the south west.

A few changes on site too. Doors and windows were fitted.
Concrete dried which allowed my unit to become the unofficial site storage unit for the whole scheme.
