Carriageworks Action Group The Carriageworks and Westmoreland House Campaign A Community Vision (2011) set out broad objectives for the site.

You might know the Carriageworks on Stokes Croft – the once derelict building near the Ashley Road junction that was owned since the 1980s by a London property company. In 2011 over 1600 people from the local community took part in writing a Community Vision for the future of the site. The Carriageworks Action Group, made up of local people who are fed up with the dereliction of the buildings, worked with the Council and a number of developers to take the buildings into a more glorious future. The redevelopment is now nearing completion (2022). Many people think it's a great improvement, others have their doubts about whether the original vision will be delivered.
