The chancellor has pledged almost 1 billion pounds of support to renters. I don't know any more than that but help is certainly on the way. HMRC have set up a helpline for self employed people and small businesses who are concerned about the impact of the coronavirus on their business/income. Assistance is available regarding your tax and also any benefits you might be entitled to.

The number is 0300 456 3565.

They are open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Tenants and landlords... the latest information is to keep in touch with your agent and tenants should advise us if they are unable to make payments so that we can inform their landlords as early as possible. The government insists that help is coming but no further update yet. I will keep in touch. Lou
