A lovely new instruction for us in Bishopston - and one with a rather nice local connection.

We've been asked to sell a flat in Grace Apartments, overlooking the home of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.

The development is named after the legendary W.G. Grace, and this apartment is directly above the Mark Alleyne Stand.

That really caught my eye, because Mr Alleyne - the Glos Head Coach and former England Cricketer - has strong connections to our home village of Coalpit Heath.

It's a small world.

And the flat itself? Two bedrooms, en-suite, balcony and secure parking. And if you enjoy cricket, city living, independent cafes, the hubbub of Gloucester Road, plus one of Bristol's most recognisable sporting views, this could take some beating.

This is a lovely house. And I’m not just saying that because I’m selling it — it genuinely has a lot going for it.

Four double bedrooms, the biggest bathroom you ever did see, spacious accommodation downstairs, a garden room that could work brilliantly as a home office or business space, parking and attractive gardens.

Location-wise, it’s hard to beat too: roughly the same 12-minute drive from Thornbury, Yate and Chipping Sodbury, whilst Junction 14 of the M5 is only a few minutes away.

One of those homes that feels tucked away without actually being isolated.

Nice end to the week here at Haighs: SALE AGREED on this double-fronted detached house in - am delighted for the family of the late owners, for whom I have been their go-to estate agent for more than forty years; equally pleased for the prospective purchasers and I hope they enjoy sixty-plus years in this home like their predecessors did!

Delighted for the couple whose offer has been accepted for this lovely house in Kingswood, but very disappointed for the other couple who wanted it but who lost out in the bidding process, and for the lady who was very keen to view but was just a little late coming to the party!
