Come on Francis you call yourself the voice of Brixham why won’t you answer any questions. Why are you standing on a monksbridge ticket when it’s not being built on . Why have you said the legal covenants are wrong ? So many questions . Why is your biggest cheerleader interest lies in Sustainable Green housing and are looking for land ?

Is this for a seat on the council Brixham council so you can lead your anti Brixham campaign.
You’re against the car park , you don’t endorse oxen cove but worry about the yacht club ? Elitism at its best !
Does it not worry you that somebody is endorsing you? Who was the person responsible for the 2016 neighbourhood Peninsula report identifying places to build on . ?

I only hope people actually realise that once you if you do get voted in what you will actually do .

And as for asking and answering questions, you’ve not answered one but you have actually answered a big one that you endorse bullying of somebody who all they did was find out that monks Bridge could not be built on and had all the correct covenant and absolutes and then you try to frighten everybody by saying that you were a hot shot solicitor and it could be built on last time I looked Croydon was not in central London . So we are asking the monks Bridge candidate who doesn’t appear to want to answer any questions where were you with Copythorne ,with Upton Manor campsite , and Saint Mary’s dairy developments ? Is there a green housing business involved ?

Well one is confused and would be thinking all sorts of things . Jackie Stockman endorsing the monks Bridge candidate when it was Jackie Stockman who was the head of the neighbourhood Peninsula that wanted monks Bridge built on in the first place.

Think this says absolutely everything about monks Bridge being built on . NOT !

I stand against Green Space development but I don not stand against investment in our amazing town such as the much wanted central car park. I would like to thank our five Brixham ward councillors and others who campaigned hard to have the Monksbridge site removed from the local plan. See the statement below.

A vote for me on Thursday sees someone who wants to see Brixham thrive and is not against every proposal that comes forward. I will scrutinise and do the best I can within the powers of af a town councillor.

“Today (3 March 2026), Torbay Council’s Local Plan Working Party resolved to remove the Monksbridge site from the list of preferred sites to be taken forward following the recent Regulation 18 Local Plan consultation.

This was a proposal brought forward by the Chairman and Portfolio Holder Cllr Chris Lewis following a discussion he had with senior planning Officers. The decision was only carried following the Chairman’s casting vote after the vote was tied. Liberal Democrat and Independent members voted against removing the site, arguing this could be a suitable location to develop.

In reaching the decision, Conservative members highlighted significant planning constraints, with particular weight given to the cumulative impact on the maternity roost of Greater Horseshoe bats at Berry Head and the site's location within the National Landscape / AONB.

The site was looked at again as a matter of urgency after the strong response to the consultation.

Given these factors, and the limited ability of the site to accommodate sustainable development over the lifetime of the Local Plan, the Working Party determined that the Monksbridge site should not proceed further. “

Come on you know it’s not going to be built on you just really want to be the anti Brixham campaigner who moans about everything . Where were you? Where? Where were you when Copythorne needed support? Where were you? When ? Upton Manor needed support ?where were you in the dairy needed support you were nowhere . It is extremely concerning that anti investment people in Brixham are more worried about oxen cove having an adverse effect on the yacht club . Some people want to work and feed their families and create more jobs . Elitism

Oxen cove . We must wholeheartedly support our fishing industry. It is the life blood apart from tourism of Brixham we don’t need or want anti investment ideas . Brixham is a fishing town . We must all always fully support that .

As many people are aware, I have been very ill of late and I now have the need to have to use this rather large crutch to be able to walk even a very short distance .
I live opposite the big tree and today I had to go and knock on my neighbours door to see if perhaps a parcel had been delivered to their house by mistake, there was no answer and it’s literally next door to my house . Unfortunately, as you come out of my house and you go a certain amount up the road there is no pavement it’s the same with the other side of the road.
I had a man who shouted out of his van get on the fc***ng pavement you stupid cripple . He was coming round the corner at properly 40 or 50 miles an hour. It was so fast I was literally as I walked I was literally almost into the wall because there is again no pavement there and the road is very narrow .
I’ve even had to have put in by the occupational therapists a device to help me walk up part of my garden which is steep in the front . And adaptions and devices to help me in the house.
Apart from somebody being extremely rude to me and shouting and swearing at me and I’m sorry if I am a cripple, I can’t help it. How the hell are we going to manage when we are going to have loads of machinery up there if the dairy ever properly goes ahead. And loads more cars .
There must be other people as well who are disabled up here and there must be some form of pavement or something put up here .
And I’m being really honest with you I did cry

The truth is we don’t want people being Anti investment in Brixham . The car park needs development. When I moved here almost 25 years ago it was on levels . Brixham needs a bigger car park for all , its vital to grow the Brixham Economy!
