What a transformation 😍

This charming house in Preston needed a bit of an exterior facelift. Anthracite cladding was added to both gables at the front after various extraneous cabling was removed. UPVC soffits were installed and the existing guttering and fascia brought back to a shine, with new down pipes added.

The walls were covered in an anthracite masonry paint with the cills and gallows brackets brought in in white to make them pop against the darker paint. Rotten timber was removed from the porch and new treated timber scarfed in to add the strength back. Many a decorator would simply have filled those timber supports and left them to rot out further.

The rear lean-to porch was demolished completely and totally re-built to finish this transformation, giving the house a modern and sleek curb side look against the rest in the street.

This garden project has been split into stages to make it more manageable and organised for all.

Stage 1 was to remove much of the old rotted out deck and frame and fence at the rear which was collapsing due to the backfill behind it was trying to support. A retaining wall was built to hold all that back, rendered and topped with coping stones.

Stage 2 was to use new composite decking to the rear of the garden and form the basis of a couple of sets of steps.

Stage 3 will be to install a patio in front of the decking, stage 4 to slab the path and steps and install a handrail at the front.

Recently finished this very dusty and labour intensive complete chimney stack and soot filled breast removal in Brixham along with all the remedial works.

New anthracite column radiators were installed, minor electrical alterations, gas pipes safely capped (not by by us) plastering, carpentry, decoration, floor screed all completed by our team.

Both 1st floor bedrooms now opened up and the lounge and dining room widened to create more room for a more modern touch.
