What an absolute day to remember! On Monday 3rd August the second annual youth musician competition completely rocked the Broadstairs Bandstand. 🎸

This event is proudly hosted by the Broadstairs and St Peter’s Town Council in association with Sunshine Ocean Records

🏆 Huge congratulations to our 2026 winners, The Climbing Trees! And a massive thank you to every single artist who took to the stage. You brought incredible talent, energy, and passion in front of an amazing crowd!
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of you, talent truly shined! ✨

And finally, a special shoutout to last year’s champions, Black House Hill, for closing out the event in absolute style with an incredible set⚡

Wow, what a fantastic turnout for East London Shakespeare Festival first Kent performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream! 🎭

This event was proudly funded by the Broadstairs & St Peter's Town Council, bringing theatre straight to the community for free. A massive thank you to the East London Shakespeare Festival for bringing absolute magic to the seafront.

An outstanding crowd of 350 people packed out Broadstairs Bandstand to witness an evening of mischief, romance, and gloriously bonkers fun. This was Shakespeare like you’ve never seen it before!

East London Shakespeare Festival presents…

Bursting with mischief, chaos, romance and magic, this joyful, family-friendly outdoor production reimagines Shakespeare’s hilarious comedy with a bold splash of contemporary flair. Escape into the enchanted forest alongside Hermia, Lysander, Helena and Demetrius as they get more than they bargained for, when a vibrant cast of magical woodland fairies take matters into their own hands.

With ELSF’s signature high-energy numbers, slapstick comedy, and audience participation, this is Shakespeare for everyone! Alongside a community engagement programme with lots of opportunities to get involved.
