Battle of the bands returns for a second year at Broadstairs Bandstand this Summer on the 3rd August 2026.
What is Battle of the Bands?
The battle is a friendly competition with young starting performers, under the age of 18. Whether you are starting up or hoping to grow your fan base, this event will kick start your music journey.
Broadstairs & St. Peter's Town Council will be teaming up again with Sunshine Ocean Records to host the battle.
There’ll be a panel of judges that will crown the winner of 2026! So be in it to win it.
What does the winner(s) get?
The winner act will receive a Recording Studio Voucher for a day’s session, a monthly rehearsal space at Pierremont Hall for 6 months and a guaranteed paid booking on the Broadstairs Bandstand Guide for 2027.
Our 2025 winners, Black House Hill, will also be performing at the end of the competition whilst the judges deliberate on the winner.
How do you apply?
All performers can book by emailing us at [email protected].
Bookings are limited to only five slots so bookings will be on a first come first serve basis.
Performers must be local from Broadstairs and St Peter’s or in the Thanet area.
All performers must be under the age of 18 to take part. *16s and under must be chaperoned by someone over the age of 18.
Sunshine Ocean Records will provide PA, backline and Sound tech. Artists will need to bring breakables and own instruments. A list of all equipment will be provided, and a list of all performer’s equipment will be required.
