🌟 Getting to Know Liz & Kallosphere
What’s the name of your business and what do you do?
Kallosphere, we make and sell acrylic sewing templates, and we also run sewing and craft classes.
How long have you been based at Broadstone Business Centre?
We moved in this November, starting in Room 39 and recently moving to Room 6.
What made you choose Broadstone as your workspace?
I wanted to move my business out of my house, and the lovely Seahorse Quilting is here too. I thought our businesses would complement each other.....and they really do!

What do you enjoy most about running your business?
I love making samples using our templates and seeing other people enjoy using them. I also love coming up with new template ideas.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
Liz didn’t actually answer this one… possibly because she was distracted chatting with one of the other businesses here...just one of her many sidelines 😉
What’s one thing people might not realise about your job?
We make all our templates ourselves in our workshop at home. It all started with a triangle bunting…

What’s your favourite thing about being a tenant here?
All the lovely tenants — and the facilities are great too.
Do you have a favourite spot in the building?
The courtyard just outside the door. It’s such a sun trap.
How does having a workspace here help your business?
It means I can have all our acrylic templates in one place, properly displayed, and I can run workshops from here too.

My iPad — so I can see orders and update the website.

What’s one fun fact about you?
I love sea swimming and have swum all year round for the past three years.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I have three girls, so they keep me very busy!
If you could give one piece of advice to another small business, what would it be?
Don’t be afraid of taking a risk.
