Join us on Wednesday 22nd April 5:30pm-7pm for this free training session which offers an opportunity for Community Councils to explore some foundational principles and practices to help develop a healthy culture around conflict.

Hosted by Imagine If and Place At The Table the goal of this training is to support Community Councils to be able to process difference and tension in a healthy way and cultivate a culture of both high quality decision making and relational trust.

Update from the Scottish Government on their review of Local Place Plans today in their Jan 2026 NPF4 Delivery review:

"Local Place Plans We will be monitoring and evaluating the extent to which local place plans (LPPs) are informing local development plans and planning decisions. Ministers are required to report on LPPs soon after July 2026 and we will embark on the review in the second half of the year. The report will include: numbers of LPPs submitted and registered, details of support given to communities to prepare LPPs, and an assessment of how they have been influencing local development plans and decisions on planning applications, their overall effectiveness and whether further support should be provided to community bodies."

Yesterday was a day of endings and beginnings with Chiara Fingland and the communities of Balfron and Errol. A lovely celebration of all the hard work and perseverance of community leaders in Balfron to produce the Balfron Local Place Plan (Fiona, Chelsea, Craig, Dorothy), submitted back in June. And a full day with Garry, Gillian, Maria and Gordon in Errol getting the lay of the land, thinking about steering group composition and an engagement and marketing strategy for the next six months.
